Extreme Scaffolding, a scaffolding and access contractor based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, is looking for a commercially minded Commercial Estimator to lead its front-end operations, owning the pipeline from first enquiry through to secured contract. The role pays £40,000 to £55,000 a year, with a higher package negotiable for the right individual with a proven track record in the sector.
The role is split roughly 60 per cent technical estimating and 40 per cent commercial growth: digital take-offs, full cost breakdowns, structural compliance to TG20 and SG4, and material schedules on one side; client consultations, site walk-throughs, post-tender follow-ups and securing new main contractor frameworks on the other.
Requirements
- Proven background in structural scaffolding estimation within the UK construction market
- Strong technical understanding of scaffolding design, TG20 guidelines and SG4 safety standards
- Confident communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to negotiate and close commercial deals
