YARD SUPERVISOR
Job Description
Established in 2002, MG Scaffolding Ltd an RSK Company need an experienced person who can be responsible for the organisation and efficiency of the yard both in terms of controlling and keeping track of stock, site movements, delivery and transport movements and embedding a culture of Health & Safety and compliance.
This is vital role to ensure that the site teams have the right equipment at the right time.
Responsibilities:
Yard stock checks and counts of materials ready for use.
Liaising with other depots concerning the supplying of materials and collection of materials from depot to depot.
Carry out and ensure yard timesheets and delivery paperwork are correctly completed / submitted.
Manage junior yard personnel.
Ensuring forklifts are checked daily and running safely.
Loading/unloading lorries to daily requirements.
Report all Accidents/Incidents/Near Misses/Complaints to H&S Department and Line Manager.
Manage the branches transport requirements.
Key skills: Organised, responsible, physically fit, good administration and basic computer skills as well as calm under pressure.
Requirements:
· Forklift truck license however training can be given.
· An HGV license would be an advantage but is not essential.
· The position will involve sorting scaffolding materials, maintaining a safe and tidy working environment within the yard, loading and unloading vehicles and heavy lifting.
· Knowledge of scaffolding materials (tube and fitting) would be an advantage.
Hours: Monday to Friday 0730 – 1630 with options for overtime as and when required.
Holiday: 31 days including Bank Holidays

Experience:
· Yard supervisor and logistics: 3 years (preferred)
