Self-Employed HGV Class 1 Driver

Job Description

SHL Scaffolding is a fast-growing scaffolding company, delivering access solutions to major projects across the UK. We are seeking a reliable Self-Employed HGV Class 1 Driver to operate out of our Colchester depot, covering sites primarily in London and along the South Coast.

Role Overview:

Transport and deliver scaffolding materials to and from sites.
Help with loading and off-loading materials when needed.
Ensure all loads are safe, secure, and compliant with regulations.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
Work closely with the yard and site teams to support smooth operations.
Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous experience with construction or scaffolding deliveries preferred (training can be provided).
Dependable, punctual and safety conscious.
Desirable (not essential):

MOFFETT licence
HIAB licence
