The random component is another possible design flaw. When a player’s shot is nearly perfect but takes an unexpected turn or dies due to ragdoll bounce or misalignment, it can be extremely disappointing. Game feedback such as hit indicators, forecast trajectories, and “near-miss” markers gives the player a feeling of control, even while everything is going crazy.
